The bit about personalizaton creating trajectory instead of experience really lands when you think about how algorithms narrow your world while appearing to expand it. Most products optimize for engagement but the real skill is designing for agency without the illusion of choice. That tension between efficieny and serendipity gets missed in so many AI implementations.
